Our company was founded by Karenniyo/Caroline VanEvery-Albert. Caroline has a background in Education and taught for many years both on reserve and in the mainstream education system at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Caroline recognized the gaps in curriculums and the need for people to hear about Indigenous history and the impacts of colonization from the Indigenous perspective.

Cultural Competency Training is a 100% Haudenosaunee owned company operating from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. Our hope is to share our understandings of our shared histories in these lands so that we may begin to heal and two move forward with a new set of tools to approaching tough problems that we face today such that history doesn’t repeat itself.
