Caroline VanEvery-Albert

Karenniyo/Caroline is from the Mohawk Nation, Turtle Clan from Six Nations of the Grand River Territory.  She holds a Bachelor Degree from the University of Waterloo, a Bachelor of Education and Masters of Education from Brock University and is working to finish her Doctoral work in Indigenous Studies from Trent University.  Caroline has been an educator for 20 years working both on and off-reserve at the elementary, secondary and post-secondary levels.  Caroline began learning her Kanyen’kéha (Mohawk) language as an adult, attending Onkwawenna Kentyohkwa adult immersion program.  She is passionate about sharing Indigenous perspectives regarding our shared histories.
